June 20th	IMA's 89th Annual Conference & Exposition in Tampa Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table (#9) at the IMA's 89th Annual & Exposition in Tampa. Congratulations to Judy Thomas, the winner of our drawing for a complimentary set of Study Materials, including a silver iPod nano pre-loaded with all of the Class Recordings. May 19th	CMA Part 2 Sections A-D Textbook Updated The CMA Part 2 Sections A-D Textbook has been updated with additional information for certain key topics, including Budgeting, Variances, Six Sigma and Balanced Scorecard. The update is free and is available in My Studies for anyone who has previously purchased Part 2. May 12th	New CIA Study Materials package for candidates with Part 4 waiver Because many CIA Exam candidates have existing certifications and are eligible for a waiver for CIA Part 4, we are offering a specially priced package with CIA Study Materials for Parts 1, 2 and 3. This new package offers an attractive savings over purchasing Parts 1, 2 and 3 separately. Please view our complete CIA Pricing for packages and prices. April 22nd	CMA Part 1 Flash Cards Updated Updated flash cards are now available for CMA Part 1. The flash cards have been updated to be compatible with the recent updates to the Part 1 textbook. The update is free for current students and the new files can be downloaded in My Studies. More specific details of these revisions are posted in our New and Updated Materials Announcements forum.
April 17th	CMA and CIA ExamSuccess 2.2 available; includes CIA Computer-Based Testing update HOCK is pleased to announce the release of ExamSuccess 2.2 for both the CMA and CIA exams. This update adds the new Computer-Based Testing layout in CIA Exam Simulations, allows you to create new Study Sessions from previously marked questions, fixes a question-database update bug on Windows Vista, and improves the layout and/or formatting of approximately 350 questions. The update is free for current students and can be downloaded from My Studies. On May 5th, the IIA will begin Computer-Based Testing worldwide for the CIA exams through Pearson VUE. March 31st	US shipping rates lowered for 3 or 4 Parts of printed textbooks and/or flash cards With today's rising gas and delivery charges, HOCK is delighted to offer new lower rates on shipping and handling to our US customers. By using the new Priority Mail Large Flat Rate Box, we are able to lower your shipping and handling cost to $15 from $20 when you order 3 or 4 Parts of printed textbooks and/or flash cards. The service is still the same Priority Mail, with delivery in 2-3 days to most areas.
March 17th	HOCK students recognized by the IMA for outstanding exam scores Congratulations to HOCK student Pete Wirtala, winner of the Johnson & Johnson Bronze Medal for achieving the third highest score on the CMA exam during the Summer 2007 period. Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals are sponsored by Johnson & Johnson and are awarded to the candidates who attain the three highest scores on the CMA examinations each year. Congratulations also to HOCK student Joseph Keller, winner of a Certificate of Distinguished Performance for his high exam scores. The Certificate of Distinguished Performance is presented by the ICMA Board of Regents to candidates who achieve superior exam scores. In order to be eligible for an examination award, candidates for the CMA must (1) pass each of the four parts of the exam on their first attempt, and (2) pass all four parts within six months of the date they pass their first exam.
March 10th	Personalized Study Plans now available in My Studies HOCK is pleased to announce the availability of Personalized Study Plans for the CMA and CIA Exams. Our standard Study Plans outline Units of study along with a suggested amount of study time for each Unit, based on studying 10 hours per week. By selecting a date to begin studying and a target exam date, a Personalized Study Plan will adjust the standard Study Plans to your schedule. You can also have your Personalized Study Plan emailed to you at the beginning of each week. This new feature is available for free to anyone who has previously purchased HOCK materials, and can be set up in My Studies.
March 3rd	Old Format CMA/CFM Study Materials access On February 29th, the Old Format CMA/CFM Exams officially ended. Anyone who purchased the Old Format CMA/CFM materials will be able to access the Study Materials through June 30th, 2008. Access after July 1st is not guaranteed, and all Old Format material access will expire during the second half of 2008. While we advise that no information in the material should be construed as authoritative business, accounting or consulting advice, we recommend printing anything that you want to keep for reference before June 30th. This expiration will not affect anyone studying on the current "New" CMA Exam. Since 2006, the vast majority of new CMA candidates have been studying for and taking the "New" CMA Exam.
February 26th	CIA ExamSuccess updated with new questions Since the introduction of the HOCK CIA Distance Learning Program in October, we have been continually expanding the coverage of the questions in the ExamSuccess software. Over 300 new questions have been added across all four Parts of the CIA exam, bringing the total number of questions to over 3,000. The update is free for current CIA students.
