September 1st

Additional 4-Part CMA Testing Window

The IMA has made an announcement regarding a new November/December testing window for the 4-Part CMA exams.

The 4-part CMA program is ending December 31 of this year. In order to make sure candidates have one last opportunity to complete the exams, we are opening a special testing window of November-December for parts 1, 2 and 3 of the 4-part program. This testing window is ONLY for those candidates who take an exam part in the September-October testing window and do not pass, OR those candidates who are unable to obtain an appointment to test in September and October.

If you already have an appointment, do NOT cancel your appointment, as you will not be able to reschedule in this new window, and you will forfeit your fees.

The new testing window will be available for registration on Monday, September 6 in the online store at www.imanet.org. If you register for the November-December testing window, we encourage you to schedule your appointment early in November. This will give you the opportunity to test again in the testing window if you do not pass. The deadline to register for the November-December testing window is November 30.

eBook Reader support - help us test compatibility

Over the past year, we have received an increasing number of inquiries regarding eBook Reader support (e.g. Kindle, iPad, iPhone, Sony, etc.). So far, we have not made any of our materials available in an eBook Reader compatible format.

However, we are now actively working to make our materials available for eBook Readers and need your help testing compatibility with different eBook Readers. Please read the full announcement in our forum.

CMA Part 2 Class Recordings becoming available

The CMA Part 2 classes have begun and the Class Recordings are now available to order. The Class Recordings will be posted on a weekly or bi-weekly basis after each class. The last class is September 19th. More detailed availability information is posted on the 2-Part CMA Pricing Page.

June 7th

CMA Part 2 Study Materials Complete

The 2-Part CMA Exam Study Materials are complete and are now available to order. You can see the complete pricing and availability for the 2-Part CMA Exam Materials.

June 1st

CMA Part 1 Class Recordings Completed; pre-loaded iPod nano also available

The CMA Part 1 Class Recordings are now fully available and can be downloaded from My Studies.

We are also pleased to begin offering the iPod nano pre-loaded with the CMA Part 1 Class Recordings. Customers who purchase the iPod nano now will be able to download the Part 2 Recordings and add them to the iPod nano using iTunes as the Recordings become available beginning in July.

April 14th

HOCK student recognized by the IMA for outstanding exam score

Congratulations to HOCK student Kevorn Gabriel, winner of a Student Performance Award for his high exam score. The Student Performance Award is presented by the ICMA Board of Regents to the candidate who achieves the highest exam score during each testing period.

February 16th

IMA Registration Cut-Off Changed for CMA Parts 1, 2 and 3

The IMA has reverted to their previous policy for the registration cut-off dates for the Old 4-Part CMA Parts 1, 2 or 3 exams. Registrations received on or after February 16th (today) or June 16th will be applied to the next testing window. The last date to register for the old Part 1, 2 or 3 exams is October 15th. The previous cut-off was the 1st of the month.

This change means that the cut-off dates for all of the old and new exams are now the same.

February 12th

CMA Assumed Knowledge e-Book Now Available

The 2-Part CMA exam contains an extensive list of topics that are considered assumed knowledge, including economics, statistics and financial accounting. Because not all candidates may have the necessary background for these topics, we have developed an Assumed Knowledge e-Book covering these topics beyond the exam syllabus. The cost for the Assumed Knowledge e-Book is $50, and it can be purchased now as a standalone product.

January 15th

CMA Part 1 Study Materials Available; Old 4-Part Exchange Information

The 2-Part CMA Exam Study Materials are now available to order. CMA Part 1 printed materials will begin shipping by Wednesday, January 20th. You can also see the complete pricing and availability for the 2-Part CMA Exam Materials.

If you have previously purchased the Old 4-Part CMA Materials and would like to exchange them for 2-Part CMA Materials according to the exchange rules in our CMA Transition Guide, please send an email to exchange@hockinternational.com with your request. Please also indicate if you are also interested in ordering new hard copies so that we can send pricing and ordering instructions in our confirmation reply. Please be patient after sending your request; we are anticipating a high volume of requests. We will confirm all exchanges by reply email.
