Minor changes to CIA Exam Testing Procedures coming January 1stEffective January 1st, the IIA is making two minor changes to the CIA Exam testing procedures. First, the tutorial will be removed from the exam environment, and will instead be available on the IIA website. This will allow candidates to take the tutorial ahead of time and become more comfortable with the exam environment before their exam. Second, 10 un-scored questions will be removed from the exam, resulting in a new total of only 90 questions per exam. The exam time will also be reduced by 15 minutes, to two and a half hours. |

Upcoming changes to the CIA exams in 2013 (yes, 2013)The IIA recently announced an updated CIA exam structure that will be effective in mid-2013. The CIA exams will be re-structured from four (4) Parts to three (3) Parts simultaneous with a realignment of the exam content based on a recent study of the body of knowledge required for today's CIAs. With the reduction in Parts, the recognition credit for Part 4 will also be eliminated, and all candidates will be required to sit for all three Parts. |

This adds to our existing compatibility with other mobile devices, including iPhones, iPads, and Android phones and tablets, among others. |

Online CMA Glossary Translations CompleteIn June, HOCK announced a new Online CMA Glossary with more than 1,100 English accounting terms and definitions written by the IMA and HOCK. Now, we are pleased to announce that all of the English terms have been translated into Arabic and Russian. Both the Online and Print Versions of the Glossary are available in My Studies with the CMA Part 1, Part 2 or Assumed Knowledge Study Materials. |

HOCK donates over $13,500 for the month of JulyLast month, HOCK international announced that we would be donating 5% of July revenue to support Red Cross relief efforts within the United States and internationally. 5% of the revenue from orders placed in the United States would be donated to the Red Cross Disaster Relief for Countless Crises fund, which provides support to communities affected by Tornadoes, Spring Floods, Wildfires, etc. and 5% of the revenue from orders placed outside of the United States would be directed to the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami relief fund. We also announced that our sister company HOCK Training in Moscow would be donating 5% of July revenue in continued support of Nastenka (www.nastenka.ru), a charitable foundation helping children with cancer. |
