    Hi

I am just starting out CIA Part 1.

Would like to know how much time i would need to complete part 1. Is 3 months of study & preparation enough? i have a Daytime job plus live with family & kids.

    Hello, Niaz,

Yes, 3 months should be enough time to prepare for Part 1, even with the other demands on your time. What I would recommend is to start studying for about a month and see where you are and how realistic being done in 3 months is. If you feel comfortable with that timing, you can register for the exam then. But, if after a month, you see that 3 months will not be enough, you can then wait to register for the exam when you know you will be ready. You do not need to register for the exam quite yet, so you can use the next few weeks to get a sense of how much you can realistically study each week and how long you will need to prepare overall. And then, later, you can register for the exam when you have a sense of when you will be ready.

    Thank you very much Brian

I was also thinking same thing. but i needed to know from someone who could motivate me

Anyhow i have set(not registered) a date  mid sept to give the exam. if my studying speed is good enough then i will prepone or postpone few days.

    Thanks Again Brain.
