Could you please explain this to me ( forced normal distribution ) ? Page 54

This is relevant to potential problems in the evaluation itself.

    Thank!

This means that the manager will rate and rank the employees in a normal distribution. For example, if there are 10 employees, 1 will be great, 2 good, 4 average, 2 bad, and 1 really bad.

The performance evaluations will look like a normal distribution if they were to be graphed.

    Does this help?

Actually still did not get it!

Is this evaluation is fair for each employee and based on what that the manager evaluated them?

Also, does this evaluation have to be for a group or it can be used on one individual?

No, this system is not fait to the employees. Because it possible that all of the employees are great, but under this system, the manager will evaluate some of them as poor just so that they do not evaluate everyone as great.

There would need to be at least a few people to do this. In essence in this system the manager is rating the employees compared to each other and not compared to the standard for the job position.
