    Hello tolga sezer,

The list of the specific items that are reported in Accumulated Other Comprehensive Income is in your CMA Part 1, Vol. 1 textbook on pages 18 and 19 of the current edition. The item most commonly encountered is item no. 6, unrealized holding gains and losses on available for sale debt securities.

Both Retained Earnings and Accumulated Other Comprehensive Income are accounts in the equity section of the balance sheet. Both of them are increased by profitable activities and decreased by unprofitable activities. The difference is that items flow to Retained Earnings through the Income Statement, whereas items reach Accumulated Other Comprehensive Income directly, without going through the Income Statement.

If you need more information about accounting for Accumulated Other Comprehensive Income items, I recommend you consult an Intermediate Accounting textbook.

    Lynn
