What calculators can I use when taking the CMA exam?
You are allowed to bring a calculator with you when you take the CMA exam, but it must meet specific requirements.
A Basic Calculator
Or, One of Four Specific Financial Calculators
Note: The Texas Instruments BA II Plus Professional is not permitted.
If your calculator does not meet these requirements or is not one of the specific models listed, you will not be allowed to use it on the exam.
HOCK's Recommendation
Unless you already have one of the specific models allowed on the exam and are familiar with how to use it, we do not recommend purchasing one of the advanced calculators just for the exam. A basic calculator will be sufficient and you do not want to be slowed down on the exam by an advanced calculator that you are not sure how to use properly.
Examples of Basic Calculators
Below are several examples of basic calculators so that you can be familiar with what a basic calculator looks like. We do not endorse or recommend any particular model.

Mock Exams
One of the best ways to finalize your CMA Exam preparation is to take the Mock exam. It gives you an opportunity to check your readiness, practice time management, and develop stamina since the CMA exam is a non-stop, four-hour exam.
