How Much Time After Passing One Section of CMA Does One Have

After one passes one of the two parts of the CMA how long do you have to pass the second and final part before you need to retake the first one that you passed? Therefore is there a rolling test window like the CPA has?

Hi Vince,

According to the ICMA's Candidate Handbook for the 2010 exam:

"Candidates must complete the CMA program within three years from entry into the program. Candidates also must register for an exam part within the first 12 months of entering the program. If a candidate does not register for an exam part within the first 12 months of entering the program, they will have to REPAY the entrance fee. If both exam parts are not successfully completed within three years of entering the certification program, the passed part will expire and the entrance fee will have to be repaid."

The candidate handbook is available on the IMA's website at http://www.imanet.org/pdf/CMA_Handbook_2010_Final.pdf .
