HOCK CIA Study Materials - everything you need to pass the exams

The HOCK Study Materials are comprehensive, easy-to-read to accommodate non-native English speakers, and provide exactly the right information to pass your exams, covering what is required by the Exam Content Outline without including any unnecessary topics. Unlike "self-study" systems, you will not study alone. Our experienced staff is available to answer questions, and online discussions with fellow students round out your learning experience.

Downloaded Study Materials

Using a laptop computer or mobile device such as an iPad, you can study wherever you go and for as long as you need to pass the exams. The Downloaded Study Materials include access to the following components, all of which can be viewed on the screen and printed out:

Textbook	The textbook is the foundation of our program and provides complete background, explanations and examples. There is no need to purchase other books or reference materials. Download the CIA Textbooks' Tables of Contents.
Flash Cards	Our most popular review tool, the flash cards are valuable when study time is limited. They are convenient to carry with you, or read on your screen, for quick review anytime, anywhere.
ExamSuccess Study Software	The ExamSuccess Study Software has thousands of questions, sorted by topic, along with detailed answer explanations and is a critical element of the HOCK program. Learn more about ExamSuccess.
Study Plan	The study plan guides you through what to focus on during the different weeks of study for each exam, but you can adapt it to fit your individual schedule using our online Personalized Study Plan. By selecting a date to begin studying and a target exam date, a Personalized Study Plan will automatically adjust the standard Plans to your schedule. You can also have your Personalized Study Plan emailed to you at the beginning of each week.
Mock Exam	The mock exam with new questions not used elsewhere in the study materials provides a measure for your exam readiness and is a solid last review before taking the real exam.
Free Updates	Our Study Materials are regularly updated to reflect revisions in the exam syllabus, changing accounting standards, and new governmental regulations. You will be able to download updated material at no charge whenever new materials are posted online.
Teacher Support	As you study, you can contact us and receive answers from our teachers who are eager to guide you when you have a specific question. The forum also provides dynamic student discussions for each of the exams, and is monitored by HOCK teachers to maintain technical accuracy.

Downloaded Study Material Samples

Textbook: The CIA Part 1 Section A sample is an excerpt from the current edition of our CIA Part 1 textbook.
Flash Cards: The CIA Part 1 flash cards sample shows how the flash cards and textbook go together. Our flash cards are formatted for printing hand-held sized cards and for viewing on the screen, and both are included with the Study Materials.
ExamSuccess: The CIA ExamSuccess Trial for Windows (1.5 MB) or Mac OS X (5 MB) covers Part 1, Section A, Introduction to Internal Auditing. ExamSuccess is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000 and Mac OS X 10.4.11 or higher.

Printed Study Materials

The Printed Study Materials include hard copy textbooks and flash cards, plus electronic access to all of the Downloaded Study Materials, giving you the flexibility of studying online or offline without having the hassle or expense of doing your own printing. The printed textbooks and flash cards have the same content as the downloaded textbooks and flash cards.

Textbooks: Our textbooks are printed on standard weight white paper for increased readability and durability, especially when highlighting. We use comb bindings that allow you to easily open your book flat on your desk. A 3-hole punch paper option is also available if you prefer the convenience of being able to make your own mini-textbooks in binders.
Flash Cards: Our flash cards are printed on card stock and are shipped in flat perforated sheets, six cards to a page. This reduces your shipping costs by allowing us to use standard paper/book size boxes. You simply pull the flash cards apart when you receive them.

A complete set of our CIA textbooks and flash cards is about 1,350 pages of material and 800 flash cards!
